Computer analysis of continuous blood pressure recordings in essential hypertension.
Blood pressure signals recorded continuously in ambulatory patients were analyzed by an IBM 370 computer and the systolic and diastolic values of each pressure cycle presented in form of a histogram. The results of pressure recordings in patients with 'borderline or labile' and 'established' hypertension are presented and discussed.
