Forty patients (25 men and 15 women, age 39 to 70) affected by presbycusis (in 7 cases associated with transmission defects) have been treated with vitamins A and E for 28-48 days. At the end of the therapy an improvement of symptoms, an in some cases of the audiometric record, have been observed.
