Ultrasound revealed an echogenic tumor of 10 cm diameter. Fibroma of the uterus was diagnosed. During the operation in the gynecological department, the tumor turned out not to be of gynecological origin. After more extensive examinations laparotomy was performed. Histologic examination of the tumor revealed a fibroma, originating from the muscular layer of the cecum.
