Bronchoalveolar lavage fluid was obtained from each animal and assayed for immunoreactive PGE<sub>2</sub>, TXB<sub>2</sub> and 6-Keto-PGF<sub>1α</sub>.Significant increase in TXB<sub>2</sub> and decrease in PGE<sub>2</sub> and 6-Keto-PGF<sub>1α</sub> release into bronchoalveolar fluid as a consequence of cigarette smoking were observed.
