Nobody likes traffic

My daily commute to work is one that many would likely envy. Barely nine miles separates my driveway from my desk and under normal circumstances, depending on how early I leave, I can go from front door to conference room in 20 minutes or so. For the last few weeks, and undoubtedly ahead of the September return to school, there has been some ongoing roadwork, including road closures, along my route. There is a flag person assigned to either end of the closure, and the first one I regularly encounter on my commute is, let's say, somewhat disinterested in his job.
