A control group treated with miniscrew-assisted rapid palatal expansion (MARPE) was matched for initial demographic data and expansion need.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>No statistically significant differences in bispinal expansion were observed between the MASPE and MARPE groups at the anterior, middle, or posterior levels.</p><p><strong>Conclusions: </strong>MASPE successfully achieved skeletal expansion of the maxilla in 86.7% of adult patients treated.
