Toxic epidermal necrolysis is associated with a high mortality rate that necessitates prompt referral to a specialized burn center upon diagnosis to optimize patient outcomes. In the case presented, the patient was treated in the obstetrics department, where nursing staff may have had limited experience in managing TEN. Currently, no established guidelines are available for the nursing care of patients with TEN during pregnancy.
