We also discuss the role of MAMs as possible markers of cardiovascular disease progression in geriatrician clinics, with a view to personalized therapy. Finally, we will contemplate the use of naturally occurring drugs that have been used in the experimental setting for the regulation of mitochondrial-ER communication.
