The basis of the estimation model used is the HAZUS model. TERANG provides modifications to the HAZUS model on school building cost parameters and reconstruction cost, as well as adjustments to local hazard data. TERANG provides an overview of the HAZUS model adoption process for countries that do not yet have a school building database.
