Osteopathische Behandlungeines Reizdarmsyndroms

Irritable bowel syndrome is a gastrointestinal disorder associated with abdominal pain, meteorism and changes in bowel movements. This case report describes the osteopathic treatment of a 37-year-old female patient with a long-term course of the disease whose complaints were triggered by psychosocial factors. The osteopathic intervention was aimed at regulating the autonomic nervous system and improving venous-lymphatic drainage. Over the course of the treatment, the patient reported a significant improvement in her symptoms.
