Die doppelte Facette der Identität der Osteopathie
Questions about osteopathic identity are likely to be characterised by a dual facet consisting of both traditional and contemporary elements. The analysis conducted aims to be robust by presenting these components as elements capable of dialogue. As an approach, we propose Paul Ricoeur's concept: Idem identity concerns the elements that ensure a certain stability over time, while Ipse identity embodies the variable aspects of the constitutive elements of osteopathy. The identity of osteopathy would therefore be modelled by the combination of these two regularly interacting influences, insofar as they serve both aspects: the shaping of a disciplinary specificity and the requirements aimed at improving patient care.
