While office BP monitoring remains the most widely used method, its limitations in detecting BP variability, masked hypertension, and nocturnal hypertension highlight the need for alternative approaches. Ambulatory BP monitoring and home BP monitoring offer superior prognostic value, enabling more precise BP assessment and treatment optimization. However, challenges such as accessibility, patient compliance, and integration into clinical workflows persist. Digital health solutions, including telemonitoring, artificial intelligence-driven analysis, and wearable BP monitoring devices, hold promise in overcoming these barriers and improving long-term BP control. As strict BP management remains central to reducing complications, emerging evidence suggests it may also contribute to favorable aortic remodeling, potentially altering disease progression.
