The review examines dietary strategies for managing type 2 diabetes, focusing on their impact on glycaemic control, weight loss and long-term health outcomes. Diets and nutrition options, including the Mediterranean and Nordic diets, low calorie consumption and medical nutrition therapy, can be effective in regulating blood glucose levels, improving lipid profiles and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.
