Development of Methods for the Synthesis of Bis-maleimidoaryl and Bis-allylphenol Monomers for Thermosetting Polymers
A procedure for the synthesis of bis-maleimide monomers starting from aromatic diamines has been optimized. The optimized conditions have been tested for the gram-scale synthesis with the possibility of further scaling up to a kilogram level. In addition, the conditions for the synthesis of diallylbisphenol A have been optimized with the goal of obtaining bismaleimide–bisphenol copolymers.
