Abnormal Placement of Flow Directed Balloon Pacemaker.

Blind placement of a transvenous pacemaker is a core emergency medicine resuscitative procedure. The commonly used balloon-tipped pacing wire is designed to allow the flow of blood returning to the heart to carry the pacer wire through the tricuspid valve and into the right ventricle.
