Sociodemographic factors significantly influenced degeneration patterns, particularly in the older age groups, with Malays showing a higher prevalence of moderate to severe degeneration. <i>Conclusion:</i> The DCFR provides a consistent and practical quantitative assessment of lumbar disc degeneration.
