SLRs should also strike a balance between minimizing pavement damage and allowing traffic to flow freely as possible. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the existing SLR practices aṇssociated with their underlying mechanisms and different categories. SLR practices in Northern America are also summarized to evaluate the industry standards.
