Z Boson Contribution into the Muon Pair Production in Proton–Proton Collisions
We consider the dimuon production in proton–proton collision which happen at LHC via photon and \(Z\) fusion. Analytical formulas for the cross section of the reaction \(pp\to p(\gamma Z)X\to p\mu\mu X\) are provided and the comparison with the \(pp\to p(\gamma\gamma)X\to p\mu\mu X\) process is performed.
