Previous studies have mainly focused on assessing students’ achievement and learning effect, but this study investigates students’ specific learning processes and personal experiences. The research team used a critical incident technique to gain insight into participants’ overall experience by collecting their authentic accounts and narratives. Using situated learning theory as a theoretical lens, the study explores how learning occurs through interpersonal interaction in specific contexts. The results are grouped into three themes: exploring social and cultural practices, promoting professional growth, and developing personal attributes.
