At a Midwest public university, graduate nursing faculty updated the curriculum to include essential geriatric competencies. Although most competencies were already present, some needed expansion to improve student proficiency in clinical settings. Uncovered topics were added, and each competency was integrated across the curriculum and assessed at multiple points.
