The research utilizes data from the National Cancer Institute's Health Information National Trends Survey to investigate the potential benefits of electronic health information exchange and online medical records in facilitating communication between individuals with hearing impairments and healthcare providers. The results of our study indicate that there is a negative association between hearing impairment and how individuals evaluate the quality of communication when interacting with healthcare providers.
