This paper explores how student success is measured in Delaware and the impact social determinants of health have on youth outcomes, including chronic absence, homelessness, nutrition, poverty, and adverse childhood experiences. By addressing these interconnected issues, Delaware can work towards closing achievement gaps and improving educational experiences for all students. Findings underscore the necessity for comprehensive support systems within schools informed by empirical evidence to foster a conducive learning environment and improve student outcomes.
