Studies were reviewed and relevant topics were included in this narrative. Rehabilitation of patients with severe acute COVID-19 and symptoms of long COVID has been challenging. The number of rehabilitation programs worldwide is still low, and community-based programs are still rare. Integrated programs with a multidisciplinary approach and exercise therapy with individualized prescription based on symptoms have been an interesting strategy. Telerehabilitation and outpatient rehabilitation are both effective in the treatment of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
