Long distance pipeline is regarded as an effective means to transport hydrogen, but the high pressure hydrogen environment is easy to cause hydrogen embrittleness and other problems in the pipeline, which seriously threatens the safety of pipeline transportation. Hydrogen blocking coatings are one of the most effective ways to solve such problems. In this paper, the research results in recent years are reviewed and summarized.
