Data were collected online using Google Forms, which included a demographic questionnaire, the three-factor Spiritual Well-being Scale and the Spiritual Care Competence Scale. The study was conducted between August 2019 and June 2020.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>A significant positive correlation was found between nurses' spiritual well-being and their spiritual nursing competence (r=0.320, p=0.019). Factors, such as work duration, marital status, patient load, experience, education and information, influenced these attributes. Ageing has also been found to reduce well-being and competence.</p><p><strong>Conclusions: </strong>Nurses' spiritual well-being and competence in providing spiritual care were moderately positively and significantly correlated. Education, experience and engagement in religious activities enhanced these attributes. We hope to extend the readership to doctors, nurses, other healthcare workers and researchers in medical and surgical specialties, including but not limited to cardiology, gastroenterology, geriatrics, neurology, oncology, paediatrics, primary care, psychiatry, psychology, renal medicine, respiratory medicine.
