We conducted the meta-analysis using RevMan 5.4.1 software with a Mantel-Haenszel random-effects model.</p><p><strong>Results: </strong>We identified 3 randomized controlled trials, comprising 490 patients. Of those, 241 patients (49%) received postoperative packing; most patients were male (<i>n</i> = 158, 65.6%), with a median age of 40.5 years and a follow-up of 6 months.
