Structural Features of Strontiowhitlockite-Based Luminophores
New phosphates Sr8(Zn1–xMnx)La(PO4)7 are obtained by the solid phase synthesis. A continuous series of solid solutions is shown to form. All synthesized compounds crystallize in the strontiowhitlockite structure type with space group \(R\bar{3}m\). Structural parameters are refined by the Rietveld method. The luminescent properties are studied, and the relationship with the crystal structural features is determined. Samples exhibit stable red-orange luminescence. The sample with x = 0.5 has the highest photoluminescence intensity.
期刊介绍:
Journal is an interdisciplinary publication covering all aspects of structural chemistry, including the theory of molecular structure and chemical bond; the use of physical methods to study the electronic and spatial structure of chemical species; structural features of liquids, solutions, surfaces, supramolecular systems, nano- and solid materials; and the crystal structure of solids.
