Simultaneously, UV illumination reduced the compactness of the corrosion products, inhibited the enrichment of copper compounds (CuO), and promoted the generation of hydroxyl radicals in the solution. Therefore, UV illumination significantly accelerated the corrosion process of 7A04 alloy, with the overall acceleration effect ranking as follows: alkaline > neutral > acidic.
