So, building positive psychological states among nurses with confidence to succeed at difficult tasks making a positive attribution about succeeding now and in the future. Aim : the present study aimed to determine nurses’ psychological capital, subjective wellbeing and their relation with perceived occupational stress. Design : A descriptive correlational research design was utilized in this study. Setting : The study carried out at the Tanta Mental Health Hospital Subjects: A convenient sample of 100 nurses who are directly worked with patient. Tools : three tools were used to collect data of this study. Psychological Capital Questionnaire, the subjective Wellbeing Scale and Expanded Nursing stress Scale. Result : The main results revealed that there was a statistically significant negative correlation between psychological capital and subjective wellbeing with expanded nursing stress. Moreover that, there was a statistically significant positive correlation between nurses’ level of subjective wellbeing and their level of psychological capital. Conclusion : this study concluded that, psychological capital act as a mediator that may have an impact on the association between nurses’ psychological well-being and occupational stress.
