The preservation of historical and cultural heritage is intrinsically linked to the work carried out in the school environment. The school has the responsibility of forming responsible, thinking citizens capable of recognizing themselves as belonging to the culture and history of which they are inserted. This awareness makes the individual find bonds of identification with their reality and thus be proud of and protect their heritage. This scientific article intends to ratify the importance of school heritage education, demystifying the learning process within a context where school, community, students and guardians and strengthening its existence through Religious Education. The methodological route was through the theoretical contribution referring to the school, heritage education and Religious Education.
