Monitoring was carried out for debris-flow hazard areas of Almaty, Zhetysu, Zhambyl, Turkestan, Mangistau, Abay and East Kazakhstan regions. The Ile, Kungey, Teriskey, Zhetysu, Kyrgyz and Talas Alatau, Ugam, Mangystau, Saur, Tarbagatai and Kazakhstan Altai mountains ridges are debris-flow hazard areas. The Review contains a map of debris-flow hazard on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, information on the hydrometeorological situation and debris f low occurrences during the 2023 debris-flow-hazardous period.
