UV emission peaked at 340 nm or longer was obtained by visible continuous-wave excitation at 405 nm in n-hexane solution by mixing the hybridized QD with 2,5-diphenyloxazole (PPO) as UV emitter, based on triplet-triplet annihilation upconversion (TTA-UC) mechanism.
