The main attention is paid to the comparison of two fundamentally different control systems based on pulse-width modulation and relay modulation. A model of the network regulator is developed, on the basis of which the characteristics of the output current quality and switching losses are obtained depending on the modulation frequency (the width of the hysteresis loop). A Study of the Current Quality of a Network Inverter with Relay and Pulse Width Modulation
Abstract
The operation of a three-phase inverter with output network chokes (a network regulator) in the reactive power compensation mode is considered. The main attention is paid to the comparison of two fundamentally different control systems based on pulse-width modulation and relay modulation.
