The three- and five-year overall survival (OS) rates were 86.4% and 78.4%, respectively, in the GINI-low group, and 66.4% and 58.3% in the GINI-high group (p<0.001). In a multivariate analysis for OS, the GINI was identified as an independent prognostic factor [hazard ratio (HR)=1.772; 95% confidence interval (CI)=1.053-2.979, p=0.031]. Similar results were observed for RFS.
