Optimizing Koto Panjang Reservoir Utility for Regional Sustainable Tourism Development in Kampar Regency, Riau Province

This study aims to determine the effect of the development of the Koto Panjang reservoir as a tourist destination on the development of the Kampar Regency area through optimization of the use of the reservoir. The data collection method used is conducting structured interviews and distributing questionnaires. The validity and reliability of the questionnaire was applied before data collection was carried out. Analysis of the data used in this study uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the SmartPLS 3.0 tool. The results of the study show that in the existing conditions the development of Koto Panjang reservoir as a tourist destination is more attractive to visitors in terms of beautiful scenery than other elements of sustainable tourism. However, visitors see various potentials for increasing the tourism sector, especially in terms of culinary and resting. Visitors are also interested in selfie tours and water tours offered by the reservoir. .
