The trinomial distribution has been used to develop life test acceptance sampling plans for establishing quantile life of items having Weibull lifetimes. The proposed life test sampling plan gives added advantage to producers and extra safeguard to consumers, as compared to the life test sampling plans available in the literature for the Weibull distribution. Tables of plan parameters are constructed through code written in R 4.1.2, and illustrated for some real-life industrial cases..
