Dye characterization was described by Mass. , H1-NMR, I.R. and visible spectroscopy techniques. The electronic spectra of this azo dye have been studied in terms of proton harvesting and ionization. The other study was the effect of solvents with different polarities on the electronic spectra. The dye has many applications, such as its use as an indicator of a strong acid with a strong base and the use of the dye as an antibiotic.
