UK Chemists in the mid-sixties marked the beginning in the early development of a composite resin cured with visible light spectrum into a solid mass. Its incorporation into the newly developed Urethane based resin, led to conceiving the idea of developing the first light-activated restorative composite resin, which formed the prototype of modern composite restorative materials.
