Analysis of Climatic (according to Observations in 1993–2023) and Microbioclimatic Health-improving Potential of Kislovodsk
Abstract
Modern climate change and variability of the natural environment have a significant impact on the quality of life and health of the population, as well as on the development of the recreational and touristic industry in resort cities. Based on the long-term observations (1993–2023), the changes in the following climatic characteristics have been analyzed: surface air temperature, total precipitation, and current microbioclimatic parameters of the resort city of Kislovodsk. It has been found for the past 30 years that the average annual temperature in Kislovodsk according to the scale of balneological significance can be identified as favorable, and the average annual minimum and maximum temperatures can be characterized as the most favorable. The statistical parameters of the analyzed characteristics and their extremes are presented. The microbioclimatic potential of the central part of the city is characterized by an increased level of natural air ionization and high purity of the surface atmosphere in the areas that do not experience high anthropogenic load.

Accounts of Chemical Research presents short, concise and critical articles offering easy-to-read overviews of basic research and applications in all areas of chemistry and biochemistry. These short reviews focus on research from the author’s own laboratory and are designed to teach the reader about a research project. In addition, Accounts of Chemical Research publishes commentaries that give an informed opinion on a current research problem. Special Issues online are devoted to a single topic of unusual activity and significance.
Accounts of Chemical Research replaces the traditional article abstract with an article "Conspectus." These entries synopsize the research affording the reader a closer look at the content and significance of an article. Through this provision of a more detailed description of the article contents, the Conspectus enhances the article's discoverability by search engines and the exposure for the research.
