The quality of Indonesian education, as demonstrated by the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), needs to be improved. This study aims to critically examine the role of the Pancasila Student Profile in responding to the challenges of the 21st century in the Indonesian education system. The research problem centers on whether the Pancasila Student Profile can conceptually address the challenges of today's world. This research uses a qualitative approach and a type of library research to collect data from various literature sources. Data is collected by searching and critically analyzing sources such as books, journals, and previous research related to the research. Research results and findings show that the 21st century presents a variety of challenges in education, including students' need to develop critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, and character skills. Pancasila Student Profile, as part of the Merdeka Curriculum, aims to prepare Indonesian students to compete in the global world while still upholding the values of the Indonesian nation. The Pancasila Student Profile is identified as a crucial component in developing the character and competencies needed by Indonesian students to compete in the 21st century.
