The successful implementation of the task of preserving reproductive function is hindered by diseases of females of various etiologies that negatively affect their reproductive ability. One of these diseases is genital mycoplasmosis of cattle, which has a significant prevalence on dairy farms, both abroad and in the Russian Federation. The effectiveness of therapy for this disease largely depends on the initial state of the immune system. The objective of our research was to study the therapeutic efficacy and effect on the immunoglobulin composition of blood serum and vaginal secretions of patients with genital mycoplasmosis of cows of the use of the antibiotic tulathromycin and its combination with the immunomodulator thymalin. The results obtained demonstrated that the use of tulatromycin for treatment leads to the recovery of 75% of experimental animals and ensures the restoration of the immunoglobulin profile of vaginal secretions, whereas the immunodeficiency state observed in blood serum is only partially restored.
