Ozone group was found to be superior than chlorhexidine followed by Povidone Iodine in terms of reduction of Plaque Index. However, intergroup comparison for other parameters did showed difference but it was not statistically significant.: It can be concluded that use of ozone can serve as beneficial irrigating solution to treat chronic periodontitis for home care and professional practice.
