EPIDEMIOLOGY OF UTERINE FIBROIDS: A COMPREHENSIVE STUDY ON PREVALENCE, RISK FACTORS AND THEIR IMPACT ON QUALITY OF LIFE AMONG WOMEN IN RURAL AREA OF PALGHAR DISTRICT, MAHARASHTRA
Complex in nature and classied according to where they occur in the uterine layers, uterine broids are
impacted by a wide range of risk factors, such as age, race, parity, and lifestyle decisions that have an

uterine broids among women aged 20 or older. The study found a prevalence of 66.6%, with intramural broids dominating at
80.5%. Menorrhagia was the most common symptom, with the majority falling into the 40-49 age range. Signicant associations
were found between broid diagnosis, menopausal status, age, oral contraceptive pill use, and hypertension. The study also
