We study the power absorption spectrum of the system by working within the dipole and rotating-wave approximations, using a density matrix approach for the emitter, and a classical dielectric-function approach for the topological-insulator nanoparticle. We show that a Rabi-type splitting can appear in the spectrum suggesting the presence of strong coupling. Furthermore, we study the dependence of the splitting on the separation of the two nanoparticles as well as the dipole moment of the quantum emitter.
