We used Bibliometrix software for comprehensive bibliometric analysis and Python packages for plot generation. Moreover, this research aims to analyse trends, patterns and insights in digital literacy and competency based on bibliometric data, covering journal clustering, author productivity, Keyword Plus term frequencies, citation trends and keyword shifting. It also highlights emerging areas such as digital transformation, digital skills and the impact of COVID-19, indicating their increasing significance in the research community. The findings underscore the growing interest in the intersection of education and technology, particularly concerning digital literacy and e-learning. This dataset is valuable for identifying trends, tracking research progress and identifying digital literacy and competency.
