Abstract

A technique for determining the drag torque of an air propeller incorporated into the propeller group of a drone using three-dimensional numerical simulation with the use of the STAR CCM+ software package is presented. The aerodynamic characteristics of the propeller calculated with the use of computational gas-dynamics approaches are presented. The electric-motor calculation for a drone has been carried out with the use of the RMxprt and ANSYS Maxwell software packages. The main machine operating parameters of the electric machine are presented. The motor torque and propeller drag torque have been compared.
