Bishop Sofron Mudryi and the Ukrainian Department of Vatican Radio: Based on Interviews and Memoirs (1965-1994)

This article considers activities of Bishop Sophron the Wise in the Ukrainian department of Vatican Radio. His achievements and contribution to the development of the Ukrainian edition of Vatican Radio, the contribution of novelty to radio broadcasting, style, genre and the expansion of the time interval of radio broadcasts for Ukrainians in the diaspora and in ethnic lands. The role of "Vatican" radio in the formation and preservation of Ukrainian identity as a mouthpiece of the Christian world in the communist Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. The specifics of the broadcasting of the Ukrainian edition were considered.
