The role of economic factors and the actual state of the financial system in society, which can influence the level of satisfaction of educational needs of citizens, is determined. It is shown that the situation that has developed in modern Ukraine, in the economy, sharply reduces the possibilities of optimizing the network of educational institutions, materially stimulating the work of education workers, thereby putting both the educational institution directly and the entire education system in conditions of survival
