This narrative review summarizes these trials and introduces upcoming innovations to evaluate acute intervention for IF-DVT. Specific technologies discussed include catheter-directed thrombolysis, pharmacomechanical catheter-directed thrombolysis, ultrasound-accelerated catheter-directed thrombolysis, and non-lytic mechanical thrombectomy.
