Karena masa nifas adalah masa kesulitan bagi ibu dan bayi, sangat penting untuk memberikan perawatan yang tepat. 60% kematian ibu terjadi setelah persalinan, dan 50% kematian pada masa nifas terjadi dalam 24 jam pertama. Banyak ibu nifas di Indonesia yang melakukan pantang makanan pada masa nifas, yang berarti mereka menghindari makanan laut, telur, sayur-sayuran, dan makanan pedas. Hasil penelitian awal yang melibatkan wawancara dengan empat ibu yang sedang hamil menunjukkan bahwa ada pantangan yang dilakukan selama kehamilan. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menentukan pengaruh budaya pantangan terhadap perawatan dan kebutuhan ibu nifas di daerah Mekarwangi, Bogor. Penelitian kualitatif ini melibatkan sepuluh ibu yang sedang mengandung selama waktu 7 hingga 40 har10 keluarga, 1 bidan dan 1 paraji. dengan mengambil sempel jenuh menggunakan teknik snowball sampling, dilaksanakan dari desember – februari. Data yang digunakan, yang dikumpulkan melalui metode wawancara, dianalisis melalui analisis konten.Sebagian besar masyarakat Mekarwangi Kota Bogor melakukan budaya pantang makan (makan buah, mie, roti, ikan, telur, dan bakso) dan perawatan nifas (urut, memakai gurita, dan minum jamu). Budaya pantang ini berdampak pada pengeluaran ASI dan penyembuhan luka jahitan.Simpulan: Perawatan masa nifas masyarakat, seperti urut, minum jamu, dan pakai gurita. Budaya pantang makan berdampak pada pengeluaran ASI dan penyembuhan luka jaitan. Budaya pantang makan juga melarang berbagai aktivitas, seperti makan buah, telur, ikan, mie, roti, dan bakso, serta nyanda dan tidur siang. Saran: Untuk memberikan data terbaru membantu meluruskan budaya pada masa nifas yang akan berdampak pada kesehatan. Kata Kunci : pantangan; budaya; perawatan dan kebutuhan nifas; postpartum  ABSTRACT To reduce maternal and infant mortality in Indonesia, it is important to pay attention to the postpartum period. Since the postpartum period is a difficult time for both mother and baby, it is very important to provide proper care. 60% of maternal deaths occur after delivery, and 50% of postpartum deaths occur within the first 24 hours. Many postpartum mothers in Indonesia practice abstinence from food during the postpartum period, which means they avoid seafood, eggs, vegetables and spicy foods. The results of the preliminary study involving interviews with four pregnant women indicated that there were abstinences during pregnancy. This study was to determine the influence of cultural taboos on the care and needs of postpartum women in the Mekarwangi area, Bogor. This qualitative study involved ten mothers who were pregnant during the 7 to 40 days10 families, 1 midwife and 1 paraji. by taking a saturated sample using the snowball sampling technique, carried out from December to February. The data used, which was collected through the interview method, was analyzed through content analysis. Most of the people of Mekarwangi, Bogor City practice abstinence from eating (eating fruit, noodles, bread, fish, eggs, and meatballs) and postpartum care (massage, using octopus, and drink herbs). This abstinence culture has an impact on breastfeeding and healing of stitches. Conclusion: Treatment during the postpartum period, such as massage, drinking herbal medicine, and using octopus. The culture of abstinence from food has an impact on milk production and healing of joint wounds. The abstinence from eating culture also prohibits various activities, such as eating fruit, eggs, fish, noodles, bread and meatballs, as well as sleeping and napping.
